Over 45 years ago, I studied and lived in Santiago de los Caballeros, the heart of tobacco-leaf production and home to the majority of cigar factories in our country. In Santiago, I witnessed and experienced the passion and respect for handmade cigars that is passed down from generation to generation.
Then, in 1985, I dipped my feet in the business side of the world of cigars, serving as a mediator between local producers, the Dominican Center for Exportation (CEDOPEX), and foreign investors. Although these initial efforts did not come to completion, by 1997 I had fully dived into the private production of Premium handmade cigars
elaborated precisely by those local producers with whom I had already developed an acquaintance.
It is such that our Bávaro and Punta Cana cigars were born, two distinct brands whose names pay homage to two of the top travel destinations in Dominican Republic and on a global scale.
Like their namesakes, these brands are elaborated in the Dominican Republic with a mix of the best tobacco leaf varieties, thus demonstrating high quality for both local and international audiences.
